MID-CENTURY MODERNS
For over three years, Coachella Valley audiences have returned to 1966 Palm Springs and delighted in the music, comedy and romance that is “Mid-Century Moderns.” With 100 performances to date, MCM has become the longest-running musical comedy currently playing in the Valley! Now is your last chance to see (or revisit!) the hit show, as MCM returns this Winter for five final performances at Palm Springs’ Revolution Stage Company. This homegrown jukebox musical features much-loved pop hits of the mid-1960s, including the music of Tom Jones, Petula Clark, Lesley Gore, Frank and Nancy Sinatra, The Association, The Monkees and many more. The music comes to life in the funny and original tale of a plucky Wisconsin widow who transforms from frump to fabulous when she finds herself at the center of modernity in Palm Springs.
Critics immediately embraced MCM. The Coachella Valley Independent calls it “A TOP-NOTCH MUSICAL IN EVERY WAY! A jukebox musical at its best. The musical numbers are all SUPERB. The cast is UNIFORMLY TERRIFIC. It’s a fun musical trip back to the 1960s well worth taking. YOU’LL ENJOY EVERY MINUTE!”
