DESERT SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL
presents MACBETH
May 2nd to May 4th
The Desert Shakespeare Festival, in partnership with Revolution Stage Company and Desert Performing Arts, LLC, is proud to present a groundbreaking production of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. This dynamic, female-driven interpretation will take the stage at Revolution Stage Company in downtown Palm Springs for three unforgettable performances on May 2, May 3, and May 4. With a powerful cast, striking visuals, and an innovative approach, this production promises to captivate audiences with its gripping storytelling and modern relevance. Jessica Lenz takes on the iconic role of Macbeth, a valiant Scottish general whose fate is forever altered when three mysterious witches—portrayed by Steven Lewis, Christopher Manes, and George Kralemann—foresee their rise to the throne. Spurred by ambition and the influence of their cunning spouse, Lady Macbeth (Daniela Ryan), Macbeth seizes power through a ruthless act of regicide. As paranoia and bloodshed escalate, the weight of their choices drives both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth toward a haunting and tragic downfall. Featuring a diverse and talented ensemble, this production re-imagines Shakespeare’s classic tragedy through a fresh and compelling lens, exploring themes of power, fate, and moral consequence.

GREGG GLAVIANO Presents
MAMA'S BOY
May 9th & 10th at 7 pm

This cabaret tells my story of growing up with a parent who suffered from chronic depression and how music and performance became the lifeline that helped me navigate feelings of neglect and discover my own voice. As the child of a parent struggling with mental health challenges, I felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility. I wanted to fix her, to make her happy. Alongside that desire came a deep sense of shame. My family didn’t look like the families of my friends, and I worked hard to hide that difference from the world. That need to hide and the yearning to please spilled over into every aspect of my life. From the awkward moments of childhood to the fears of embracing my true self as a young adult, I carried those struggles like a hidden weight. Music changed everything. Through the guidance of gifted teachers and the challenges of performing, I began to confront my fears and grow into the person I am today. Music gave me permission to feel, to express, and ultimately, to heal. This cabaret is a journey through my life—the good choices, the missteps, and everything in between—brought to life through storytelling and song. It’s my hope that by sharing my story, I can reach others who feel unseen, remind them of the power we each have to overcome what holds us back, and highlight the profound ability of music to unite and heal.
